Meet the Teacher
I grew up in Brighton, Michigan where I was lucky to have fantastic teachers who shaped me and inspired me throughout the years. In high school a teacher suggested I take a teacher exploration classes and ever since then I've been hooked on teaching. When I gradutaed from high school I decided to attend Eastern Michigan Univserity for their outstanding teaching program. I majored in Elementary, Early Childhood, and Early Childhood Special Education. Throughout my education I gained numerous learning experiences through the classroom, real-life exposure, and my peers.
Following graduation I packed up my bags and headed down where it's a little bit warmer- Louisville, Kentucky! I have loved getting to explore a new city and state the past year!
My first day of school!

Ever since I can rememeber, I have wanted to be a teacher. Growing up in a family full of educators, I saw first hand the satification that teaching brings. It's watching a child grasp a new concept and witnessing children develop their interests while growing into their own personality that inspire me. To me, being a teacher means being able to wear many different hats throughtout the course of the day. It's being there to greet students with a friendly hello, helping zip coats, making math fun with a song and dance, helping guide children through tough times, and being there to make there day better. As a teacher I believe that students always come first.
